If a tool helps you write, run or ship code as a student, it lives here.

Most of this shelf is completely free — usually for 12 months or for as long as you're enrolled — because developer companies want students on their stack before they graduate. The rest are genuine student discounts, often around half price. Watch for bundle packs: one student check that unlocks a whole set of tools at once is routinely the best value on the page, and the list is sorted so claims like that come first.

Every deal on this shelf is checked by hand before it's listed, and each deal page shows when it was last checked, the exact claim steps, and the fine print — education licenses sometimes limit commercial use, and free years usually ask you to re-confirm your student status to renew.
